Modern error management and monitoring for Ruby and Rails
Rather than getting an email every time someone trips the same error in your app, individual instances of an error are grouped in the Honeybadger UI, and you only get one notification. You can quickly flip through the instances of an error in the UI using keyboard shortcuts, and all the data for the error, including the user data and custom data you may want to send, are all there on the same page.
Full Text Search
Interested in seeing all your SMTP errors? Need to pull up an error that happened a month ago? With our search features it’s a breeze.
Save time gathering info on what happened in an error and who it happened to with our single-page error inspector. Quickly flip through instances of errors, errors in a project, and even all your projects using keyboard shortcuts and in-page updates.
Email? SMS? Campfire? HipChat? All of the above.Get notified as soon as errors occur, wherever you are.
Deep Error Inspection
Do all your errors come from eastern europe? Is googlebot breaking your app? We supplement raw error info with ip geolocation, bot detection, and more.
Did that error happen once? Or 100 times in the past hour? Notification Escalations give you the option to get notified repeatedly for the same error if it’s happening frequently in your application. You get to decide what the thresholds are – 100 times in a day, 10 times in an hour, etc. – and then we’ll keep you up to date on what errors keep happening.
Create a Pivotal story, Asana task, Jira issue, or Sprint.ly defect with just one click. And they will be linked back to Honeybadger, so your error details are only a click away from your project management tool of choice. Is one click one click too many? You can also configure Honeybadger to auto-create stories, tasks, etc. for you every time a new error is encountered.
Keep an eye on your application, from your user’s point of view. With Honeybadger you can set up a monitor to check your site to see if it’s responding. You can optionally specify some text that should be included on the page that we fetch to make sure your users are seeing what they should be seeing.
We record metrics from your Rails application to keep track of how many requests are being served, how long it’s taking to serve requests, and what controllers and actions are taking the most time. You can use this info to improve the responsiveness and performance of your application.
See at a glance when an error occurred, was resolved, then reopened. Every part of the error’s lifecycle is recorded, giving you a powerful tool to understand a bug’s impact over time.
Our hotkeys let you flip between occurrences of the same notice, jump between different types of debug data, and even perform searches.
256-bit SSL Encryption
Your data is important. So all accounts come with SSL on by default.
User Feedback Form
When an error is sent to Honeybadger, an HTML form can be generated so users can fill out relevant information that led up to that error. These feedback responses make it easier to learn how an error happened, and they are displayed inline in the comments section on the fault detail page.
